ALWAR: The controversy over the alleged detention of Cockroach Janata Party (CJP) national organisation co-incharge Deepak Baliyan took a fresh turn on Thursday after party leaders claimed that Rajasthan Police had detained him and assaulted him and his brother, even as police maintained that Baliyan had not been detained.Baliyan, a resident of Mankheda village in Alwar district, had earlier accused local police of placing him under house arrest and threatening his family ahead of the CJP’s October 10 protest at Jantar Mantar in Delhi against chief election commissioner Gyanesh Kumar over the Special Intensive Revision (SIR) of electoral rolls.The CJP had initially claimed that Baliyan was "forcibly picked up" from his home by Rajasthan Police.
