NEW DELHI: The Cockroach Janata Party (CJP) has accused Rajasthan Police of forcibly detaining its national organisational co-in-charge Deepak Baliyan from his residence in Alwar district and manhandling him despite his fractured leg, while police maintained that he had not been detained.The controversy comes ahead of the CJP's planned protest at Jantar Mantar in Delhi on October 10, where the party is demanding the resignation of Chief Election Commissioner Gyanesh Kumar over alleged manipulation of electoral rolls and the deletion of lakhs of voters' names during the Special Intensive Revision (SIR) exercise.Baliyan, a resident of Mankheda village in Alwar district, had earlier accused local police of placing him under house arrest and threatening his family ahead of the protest.
