A group of civil society volunteers on Saturday (September 19, 2026) urged the Delhi Chief Electoral Officer (CEO) to extend by at least two months the deadline for claims and objections and the notice phase of the Special Intensive Revision (SIR) of electoral rolls in the national capital, citing the “scale of notices and exclusions”.

A delegation from the Voter Adhikar Manch met Delhi CEO Ashok Kumar and raised concerns over the number of notices issued to voters, alleged wrongful exclusions and the need for greater transparency in the revision process.
