Ciarán Hinds joins Paul Mescal in A Whistle in the Dark

The co-production, directed by Abbey Theatre Artistic Director Caitríona McLaughlin, will be staged at the Abbey Theatre in Dublin from Wednesday, 13 October to Saturday, 30 October 2027 as part of the Dublin Theatre Festival, following its London run at the National Theatre's Lyttelton Theatre.
Tickets for the Dublin performances will go on sale in 2027, with further details to be announced.
First staged in 1961, A Whistle in the Dark tells the story of Michael Carney, who settles in Coventry with his wife, Betty, and tries to build a new life.
