Why it matters
Large-scale religious events in India require significant inter-departmental coordination to ensure public safety and crowd management.
District Collector Sumit Kumar on Saturday (August 22, 2026) instructed the concerned officials to make foolproof arrangements to ensure that every devotee has darshan of Sri Varasiddhi Vinayaka Swamy in Kanipakam during the annual Brahmotsavams from September 14 to October 10.
The Collector held a coordination meeting with MLA Murali Mohan, Superintendent of Police Tushar Dadi, EO Penchala Kishore, and others regarding the conduct of the annual Brahmotsavams at the conference hall of the temple Executive Officer’s (EO) office.
