Actor and Padma Vibhushan K. Chiranjeevi on Sunday (October 11, 2026) appealed to the public to undergo medical screening for the detection of various cancers as a precautionary measure to save lives.
Mr. Chiranjeevi was speaking after inaugurating GSL-Surya Multi-speciality Hospital at Kapileswarapuram in Dr. B.R. Ambedkar Konaseema district. The hospital is a collaborative initiative of Rajamahendravaram based GSL group of hospitals and Surya Charitable Trust.
Addressing the gathering, Mr. Chiranjeevi said that early detection of cancer would help with treatment. He claimed that diet and physical exercise should be disciplined for a healthy life. “I am drawing energy from the affection of the supporters to stay mentally healthy,” he said.
He also lauded the initiatives of the State government for family welfare, medical and health services and rural development.
