China, U.S. agree on $30 billion tariff cut and AI dialogue

China and the United States have agreed on a $30 billion reciprocal tariff-reduction arrangement and a new dialogue on artificial intelligence. The agreement followed Chinese President Xi Jinping’s three-day visit to Washington and his meeting with U.S. President Donald Trump. The two sides also agreed to establish a trade council, extend their trade truce and cooperate on AI-related risks and incidents.
