The era of artificial intelligence (AI) presents unlimited opportunities and great potential for cooperation with Botswana, says Fan Yong, Chinese Ambassador to Botswana. Young expressed optimism in a media note released in Gaborone. The Chinese envoy said Botswana is undergoing economic transformation, and AI offers a significant opportunity to deepen bilateral cooperation and support the country’s economic diversification. He adds: “Mining is a pillar industry in Botswana, and China can leverage its mature AI technology and industrial ecosystem to empower the construction of smart mining in Botswana, helping the country improve resource development efficiency and product added value, injecting new momentum into economic transformation." Digital intelligence can also assist government governance and benefit public livelihoods, according to Yong.
