China Sets Global Record with 8,000-MT Methanol Bunkering in Yangshan
Shanghai Electric has set a global record by completing an 8,000-metric-ton green methanol bunkering operation at Yangshan Port. This milestone supports the development of a green fuel corridor and advances international shipping sustainability efforts.

Shanghai Electric has completed an 8,000 mt green methanol bunkering operation at Shanghai's Yangshan Port in China , setting a global record for the largest single green methanol bunkering.
The operation was carried out on Monday with Shanghai International Port Group and CMA CGM ship as part of a green methanol refuelling ceremony, Shanghai Electric said in an announcement on today.
The fuel was mainly supplied by Shanghai Electric's Taonan Green Methanol Project in Jilin province.
The company said the operation marked the project's move into continuous production and batch deliveries.
