China reports 3 additional H9N2 avian influenza cases

Three new cases of human infection with avian influenza A(H9N2) virus were reported from China, according to the World Health Organization.
The first case is a 4-yearold male from Guangxi Province, with symptom onset on 26 June 2026. The second case is a 4-year-old male from Jiangsu Province, with symptom onset on 22 June 2026. The third case is a 44-year-old male from Guangdong Province, with symptom onset on 26 June 2026. All three cases had exposure to live poultry.
