China begins construction of Qatar's $4bn offshore project

--> Construction has begun in Qingdao, China, on a major offshore oil and gas engineering project for the Bul Hanine field in Qatar. The work is being carried out by the Chinese company Offshore Oil Engineering Co., Ltd (COOEC), ECNS reports .

The project is called Qatar BH EPIC, and the contract is valued at $4 billion. According to COOEC, it is the highest-value international offshore oil and gas project undertaken by a Chinese company.
