After years of anticipation, the world of Orïsha has finally arrived on screen. Paramount Pictures has unveiled the first trailer for Children of Blood and Bone , the long-awaited adaptation of Tomi Adeyemi’s bestselling fantasy novel that became a global publishing phenomenon in 2018.
The trailer introduces Thuso Mbedu as Zélie Adebola, a young maji determined to restore magic to a kingdom where its practitioners have been hunted into near extinction. As oppressive rulers tighten their grip on Orïsha, Zélie embarks on a dangerous quest alongside her brother Tzain (Tosin Cole), Princess Amari (Amandla Stenberg) and Prince Inan (Damson Idris), setting the stage for an uprising that could reshape the fate of the realm.
