After many years, visitors to Muziris will be able to check out heritage locales that are spread across the region, in boats and water taxis from the coming week.

The vessels will operate from 14 boat jetties in the North Paravur-Kodungallor region on the Ernakulam-Thrissur border.

Water sports enthusiasts can choose kayaking, for which 25 single- and double-seater kayaks have been readied as part of the Muziris Heritage Project (MHP). Chief Minister V.D. Satheesan will launch the services offering package tours on Sunday (October 4, 2026) at the Thattukadavu Boat Jetty in North Paravur.
