PATNA: What began as a peaceful wedding in Rajanpur village under Mahishi block of Saharsa district turned tense after a dispute over serving chicken instead of mutton led to a violent clash between the groom's and bride's families.According to the groom's side, they had been assured that mutton would be served at the wedding feast held on the night of July 9. However, chicken was served instead. When members of the groom's side objected, an argument broke out, which soon escalated into a physical assault.Members of the bride's side allegedly attacked the baraatis with sticks and lathis. More than half a dozen people from the groom's side were injured in the clash.
