‘Cheppu ther’ of Vadapatrasayi Perumal Temple pulled in Srivilliputtur
The copper chariot ('Cheppu ther') of the Vadapatrasayi Perumal Temple was successfully pulled around the Car Streets in Srivilliputtur as part of the ongoing Purattasi festival. Devotees participated in special pujas, and local traffic was temporarily diverted to accommodate the event.

As part of the ‘Purattasi’ festival at Vadaverunkoil Udaiyan Temple, copper chariot (‘Cheppu ther’) was pulled around the Car Streets in Srivilliputtur on Wednesday.
The event started at 7.05 a.m. after special pujas to the presiding deities, Vadapatrasayi Perumal, Sridevi and Boodevi.
The copper chariot, with the deities seated in it, was drawn around the Car Streets in which scores of devotees took part.
Later, the devotees participated in the pujas at the temple.
