‘Cheppu ther’ of Vadapatrasayi Perumal Temple pulled in Srivilliputtur

As part of the ‘Purattasi’ festival at Vadaverunkoil Udaiyan Temple, copper chariot (‘Cheppu ther’) was pulled around the Car Streets in Srivilliputtur on Wednesday.
The event started at 7.05 a.m. after special pujas to the presiding deities, Vadapatrasayi Perumal, Sridevi and Boodevi.
The copper chariot, with the deities seated in it, was drawn around the Car Streets in which scores of devotees took part.
Later, the devotees participated in the pujas at the temple.
