Chennai Night Run to promote fitness and women’s safety

The prelude event to the Mindspace REIT Chennai Night Run 2026 was held on Thursday ahead of the run scheduled for October 17. Organsied by SportzPro in association with the Tamil Nadu Athletic Association (TNAA) and supported by the Sports Development Authority of Tamil Nadu (SDAT), SIMS Hospital and State Bank of India with Mindspace Business Parks REIT headlining the event.
The run will start at 7 p.m. from Island Grounds and will include two categories: 10K timed run and 4K family run. The fastest runners will be awarded cash prizes. C. Latha, Chairman - Planning & Execution Committee, Tamil Nadu Athletic Association, spoke about how the run aims to promote athletics, especially encouraging women to participate.
