Chennai Metrowater to hold open house meetings on Saturday

Chennai Metrowater is hosting open house meetings this Saturday to address consumer grievances regarding water supply, sewage, and taxes. These monthly sessions allow residents to interact directly with engineers to resolve service-related issues.
Why it matters
Public grievance redressal mechanisms are essential for maintaining urban infrastructure and ensuring accountability in municipal service delivery.
Chennai Metrowater will hold open house meetings in all its area offices across the city on Saturday between 10 a.m. and 1 p.m., to address consumers’ grievances.
A press release said such meetings were held every second Saturday of the month to redress complaints. Superintending engineers would chair these meetings. Residents may raise complaints related to water supply, sewage disposal and water, sewer tax and charges. They may also check the status of pending water and sewer connections and also learn about maintenance of rainwater harvesting structures in these meetings.
