Chennai Metrowater seized 17 electric motors illegally installed to extract water from drinking water pipelines at residential premises in Thiru. Vi. Ka. Nagar, Valasaravakkam and Sholinganallur zones on Friday.
A press release said teams of Metrowater officials found illegal water suction motors installed in residential premises at various locations, including Jambu Lingam Main Road, G.K.M. Colony, Neelamegam Street, M.G.R. Nagar, in Thiru. Vi. Ka. Nagar zone; Bharathidasan Street, Alapakkam, in Valasaravakkam zone, and streets in Rajendra Nagar, Neelankarai and Ganesh Nagar, Injambakkam, in Sholinganallur zone.
