Xabi Alonso 's could see his Chelsea midfield options bolstered by the return of Jordan Henderson against Brentford this week.
Henderson has yet to feature for Chelsea since arriving on a free transfer from the Bees in the summer, as he recovers from a broken wrist sustained while celebrating England's quarter-final victory over Mexico at the World Cup in July .
While Henderson has taken part in training for the best part of a month, he has been overlooked in the Premier League as well as Carabao Cup wins over Luton and Leeds .
"He has been training very well, but it is still frustrating for him that, even though it is his arm, it is taking that long," Alonso said before the loss to Arsenal on September 6 .
"I think he is in the last stage of his recovery."
