France-based midfielder John Otomewo and defender Vince Osuji have been called up as replacements for captain Wilfred Ndidi and Akpe Victory.
Otomewo joined French Ligue 2 side Stade de Reims this summer from Israeli Premier League club Hapoel Jerusalem. Osuji currently plays for Norwegian outfit Tromsø.
The duo will be hoping to make their international debuts when Nigeria face Russia at the Nizhny Novgorod Stadium next Tuesday.
The Super Eagles and Russia played out a 1-1 draw in their previous meeting at the Luzhniki Stadium in Moscow on June 6, 2025.
