Chegubard freed of sedition charge over post on king

PETALING JAYA: The Kuala Lumpur sessions court today acquitted political activist Badrul Hisham Shaharin, also known as Chegubard, of a sedition charge over a Facebook post in 2024.
The alleged publication was said to have tarnished the name of Yang di-Pertuan Agong Sultan Ibrahim.
Judge Siti Aminah Ghazali made the ruling after finding that the prosecution had failed to establish a prima facie case against Badrul, 48, at the close of its case.
