Charges withdrawn against Crime Intelligence officers accused of irregular appointment process
The National Prosecuting Authority has provisionally withdrawn fraud and corruption charges against senior Crime Intelligence officers. The decision follows findings at the Madlanga Commission that the original case against the officers was baseless.

The National Prosecuting Authority has directed that fraud and corruption charges against senior Crime Intelligence officers be withdrawn.
In June last year, the Investigating Directorate Against Corruption arrested the head of Crime Intelligence, Dumisani Khumalo, and seven other officers.
