UPDATE: Five people have been taken to hospital, two in a serious condition, after a car crashed into a Canberra business earlier today (9 October) causing “chaos and confusion”.
At about 11:45 am, the car drove into a massage clinic on Trenerry St, near Cooleman Court, in Weston, trapping three people under the vehicle.
A person who was in the store at the time received minor injuries but was able to walk out.
Speaking this afternoon, ACT Ambulance Operations Manager Chris Tyrrell said five people were taken to Canberra Hospital.
He said it was “frankly outstanding that the injuries weren’t more severe”.
“The fact that we’re only dealing with lower limb injuries, albeit serious lower limb injuries, is quite fortunate,“ Mr Tyrrell said.
