The Karnataka Examinations Authority (KEA) has announced the final results of the first round of seat allotment for professional courses, including engineering. Of the 1,41,872 seats available across various courses, 1,22,512 have been allotted in the first round. Candidates who have been allotted seats must complete choice selection, fee payment and reporting to their respective colleges by July 24.
KEA has introduced a major change by allowing candidates to modify their choice options within the stipulated deadline. Candidates can switch between Choice-2, Choice-3 and Choice-4 before the deadline. Even those who initially selected Choice-4 can re-enter the counselling process by changing their option. However, candidates who have chosen Choice-1, paid the admission fee and reported to their allotted college will not be allowed to change their option.
