The YSR Congress Party (YSRCP) has said that the Andhra Pradesh government’s claims of attracting massive investments and generating large-scale employment have come under scrutiny following information furnished by the Union Government in Parliament.
Referring to replies given by the Centre to questions raised by YSRCP leader P.V. Midhun Reddy, the party on Tuesday said that Union Minister of State for Commerce and Industry Jitin Prasada informed that only 10 investment projects monitored by the Department for Promotion of Industry and Internal Trade (DPIIT) and Invest India had been grounded in Andhra Pradesh over the last two years. Of these, only two projects had completed construction, while the remaining were under various stages of implementation.
