Centre responds positively to five key cultural proposals, says Minister Kandula Durgesh

Tourism, Culture and Cinematography Minister Kandula Durgesh on Friday announced that the Central government had responded positively to five key cultural proposals submitted by the State and assured that an official circular would be issued in a month.
During a meeting in New Delhi with Union Culture Secretary Vivek Aggarwal, the Minister presented proposals to establish a regional centre of the National School of Drama in Rajamahendravaram, an Indian Council for Cultural Relations (ICCR) centre in Andhra Pradesh, a Lalit Kala Akademi regional centre, a modern Kalakshetra Auditorium at the Government Music and Dance College in Vijayawada, and a Sahitya Akademi regional centre in Kadapa.
According to Mr. Durgesh, the Centre had given these proposals high priority and promised early action. He said the developments would significantly strengthen Andhra Pradesh’s cultural ecosystem and benefit artistes across the State.
