Centre promises more direct flights from Mysuru
Union Civil Aviation Minister Kinjarapu Ram Mohan Naidu has promised to improve air connectivity for Mysuru. The initiative follows requests from local MP Yaduveer Krishnadatta Chamaraja Wadiyar to expand airport infrastructure and introduce direct flights to major Indian cities.

The Centre has assured better air connectivity to Mysuru, with Union Civil Aviation Minister Kinjarapu Ram Mohan Naidu promising to take up pending works at Mysuru Airport and improve the city’s links with major destinations.
Mr. Naidu gave the assurance at the first-ever meeting of the Consultative Committee of the Union Ministry of Civil Aviation held in Mysuru on Friday. The meeting was chaired by Mr. Naidu, with Minister of State for Civil Aviation Murlidhar Mohol as co-chairperson.
Mysuru-Kodagu MP Yaduveer Krishnadatta Chamaraja Wadiyar urged the Centre to introduce direct flights from Mysuru to Mumbai, Kochi, Tirupati and Goa and submitted a detailed memorandum to Mr. Naidu highlighting the city’s growing aviation requirements.
