Centre agrees to alienate 3.34 acres of AIIMS-Mangalagiri land for road project in Amaravati

The Ministry of Health and Family Welfare has given in-principle approval for allotting 3.34 acres of land under AIIMS-Mangalagiri for construction of the E-13 Road Extension Corridor, connecting E-13 with NH-16, in Amaravati capital city.
The decision has been taken in public interest, the Ministry says, directing the district administration to expedite the process of handing over 10 acres of alternative land to AIIMS-Mangalagiri in lieu of the 3.34 acres being allotted for the road project.
“The Central and State governments, and the district administration are coordinating to resolve the land-related issue and facilitate the key road connectivity project,” Union Minister of State for Rural Development Pemmasani Chandra Sekhar told The Hindu on Saturday.
