Central teams continue visits to drought-hit areas
Inter-Ministerial Central Teams are currently visiting drought-affected districts in Karnataka to assess agricultural losses. The state government has requested approximately ₹7,500 crore in relief funds to address the estimated ₹46,000 crore in damages.

The Inter-Ministerial Central Teams, which are in Karnataka to assess the impact of drought, continued their visits to drought-hit areas for the second day on Sunday.
The teams visited several drought-affected villages in Yadgir and Raichur districts, Gerdada and Arakere villages in Saligrama taluk of Mysuru district, and a few villages in Hassan and Davanagere districts. They interacted with farmers as well as officials concerned during their visits.
The teams will assess the drought situation and estimate the losses till October 6, following which they will submit a report to the Centre.
