Central corporation rolls out GPS tracking for 138 garbage auto-tippers
The Central City Corporation in Shantinagar has launched a pilot project to install GPS tracking on 138 auto-tippers used for door-to-door waste collection. This initiative aims to improve efficiency and monitoring of waste collection routes and operations, addressing previous issues with non-functioning GPS devices.

After a long conflict with private contractors between payment delays and segregation rules, a pilot project to track 138 auto-tippers engaged in door-to-door waste collection was launched by the Central City Corporation limits in Shantinagar limits. The project aims to use technology to monitor waste collection vehicles and improve the efficiency and quality of door-to-door services. GPS devices will be installed in 138 auto-tippers as part of the pilot.
Launched by Corporation Commissioner Jagadish G. and Bengaluru Solid Waste Management Ltd. (BSWML) Chief Executive Officer Karee Gowda, the project is being led by Central City Corporation Zonal Joint Commissioner Ranganath K., and is being implemented with CSR support.
