CENTCOM Says Over 1 Billion Barrels of Crude Have Passed Through Strait of Hormuz

ERBIL (Kurdistan24) - U.S. Central Command (CENTCOM) said on Saturday that more than one billion barrels of crude oil have passed through the Strait of Hormuz in recent months under protection coordinated by U.S. forces and regional partners.
In a video message published Saturday evening, CENTCOM Commander Admiral Brad Cooper said U.S. forces had supported the movement of the oil while assisting more than 2,000 commercial ship transits through the strategic waterway.
"CENTCOM forces have supported more than one billion barrels of crude oil leaving the Gulf," Cooper said, describing the milestone as a significant achievement by U.S. service members and regional partners.
