Why it matters
Corporate-led vocational training programs are increasingly vital for addressing skills gaps in developing economies and fostering local economic inclusion.
Coca-Cola Beverages Africa (CCBA) Namibia has concluded the Cool-Tech Capacity Building Project, an economic inclusion initiative that equips 100 young people and women with technical skills in refrigeration and cooler maintenance.
The training recently took place in Windhoek.
The programme was developed in response to the need for skilled refrigeration technicians in Namibia, a gap that can affect business operational efficiency.
By addressing this need, the initiative aims to support business continuity while broadening access to skills development and employment opportunities.
