CCB initiates legal action against rowdy sheeter for violating externment order

The Bengaluru Central Crime Branch has taken legal action against a rowdy sheeter for violating an externment order. The individual was found to have returned to the city despite being legally restricted to Mysuru.
Why it matters
Enforcing externment orders is a critical component of urban crime control and public safety management.
The Central Crime Branch (CCB) has initiated legal action against a 27-year-old rowdy sheeter of the Gangammanagudi Police Station for allegedly violating an externment order and returning to Bengaluru.
According to the police, four cases have been registered against the accused, Madhusudan N.N. alias Madhu, at Gangammanagudi and other police stations. The Deputy Commissioner of Police, NorthWest Division, issued an externment order on August 6, directing the accused to stay in the limits of the Mandimohalla Police Station in Mysuru.
However, based on information received from informants on October 2, the police learned that Madhu had allegedly returned to Bengaluru and was residing in the city despite the externment order.
