CBSE third-language rule: SC extends relaxations to Class VI students

NEW DELHI: The Supreme Court on Monday directed the CBSE to extend to Class VI students the same exemptions and relaxations available to students of Classes VII and VIII under its newly introduced three-language scheme.Under the order, Class VI students will have to study the newly mandated third language, but they will not have to appear for a CBSE Board examination in that language when they reach Class X.
