CBSE school arts fest begins in Palakkad

CBSE district school arts festival, Jwala 2026, began at St. Raphael’s Cathedral School here on Thursday. Organisers said more than 4,000 students from 73 CBSE schools across Palakkad district were taking part in the three-day festival.

V.K. Sreekandan, MP, inaugurated the festival. Sonia K., president of Palakkad Sahodaya School Complex, presided. Fr. Anto K.V., Sahodaya district treasurer, welcomed the gathering. Fr. Joshi Pulikkottil, Sahodaya district vice president, delivered the keynote address. Sandhya Thomas, Jwala associate convener, spoke.

Competitions are being held at two venues: St. Raphael School and Lions Public School. Friday’s events will be at Lions, and Saturday’s will be at St. Raphael.
