NEW DELHI: A suspected ‘Special 26’-style fake CBI raid was foiled at a businessman’s residence in Delhi’s Rohini after his wife refused to open the gate for a group of people claiming to be CBI officers.According to a complaint filed with the police, around eight to 10 people arrived at the residence and said they had come to conduct a CBI search. They allegedly tried to enter the house without showing proper authorisation or establishing their identities.The woman refused to let them in despite alleged pressure and threats to open the gate. The group then remained outside the house for around 1.5 hours, according to the complaint.Neighbours gathered at the spot and questioned the group about the search warrant and other authorisation.
