The Central Bureau of Investigation (CBI) has arrested Anurag Danayak, Managing Director of Karnataka Antibiotics and Pharmaceuticals Limited (KAPL), in a bribery case after laying a successful trap in Noida.
According to the CBI, the accused allegedly demanded a bribe of ₹15 lakh from a Bhopal-based authorised service agent of KAPL for approving the firm’s Service Agent Agreement, clearing the renewal of pending applications for the current financial year, assigning additional government institutions in Madhya Pradesh, and seeking a share of the firm’s commission from medicine sales.
