Catholic development agencies and Church partners have reaffirmed their commitment to supporting the Association of Member Episcopal Conferences in Eastern Africa (AMECEA) in accompanying young people, describing youths as central to the Church's mission and to Africa's future.
In solidarity messages delivered on Wednesday, July 22, during the 21st Plenary Assembly of AMECEA, representatives of the U.S.-based Conrad N. Hilton Foundation , the Norwegian Church Aid (NCA), the Catholic Agency for Overseas Development (CAFOD), Germany-based Missio Munich , and the Archdiocese of Cologne pledged continued collaboration with the Church in Eastern Africa as it advances its Synodal journey with young people.
