Catastrophic Night --Modric Left Devastated
Luka Modric expressed deep shame following Croatia's historic 7-0 defeat to England in the UEFA Nations League. The veteran midfielder described the performance as unacceptable and called for the team to regroup ahead of their next match against Spain.
Why it matters
The result is a significant upset in international football, marking a low point for a historically resilient Croatian national team.
AC Milan midfielder Luka Modric has admitted that he felt ashamed for the first time in his illustrious 20-year international career after Croatia suffered a historic 7-0 thrashing at the hands of England in the UEFA Nations League.
Playing in Rijeka, the Vatreni endured the heaviest defeat in their modern footballing history since gaining independence in 1991. A ruthless English display, featuring goals from Harry Kane, Bukayo Saka, Anthony Gordon, Jude Bellingham, and Morgan Rogers, completely dismantled the hosts.
