Vusimuzi “Cat” Matlala and his two companies are set to be rejoined with the 14 other accused in the corruption case linked to the Medicare 24 Tshwane District contract.

The Pretoria Specialised Commercial Crime Court postponed Matlala’s matter to September 25 2026, when his case and those of his two companies are expected to be formally joined with the 14 other accused.

The combined matter is then expected to be transferred to, and appear in, the Pretoria Regional Court on September 29 2026.

In a statement released on Friday by the Investigating Directorate Against Corruption (IDAC), the postponement was granted in his absence after his legal representative told the court that he was attending a trial at the Johannesburg High Court.
