Career guidance awareness event for former government school Plus Two students held
The Department of School Education in Tenkasi organized a career guidance event for former government school students. Parents and students criticized the timing of the event, noting that it occurred during quarterly examinations and long after most students had already enrolled in higher education.

Even as most of the students have joined colleges after their Plus Two and the quarterly examinations are going on, a career guidance awareness event for former government school Plus Two students was organised here on Wednesday by the Department of School Education.
Inaugurating the event at ICE Government Higher Secondary School in Tenkasi, District Collector Ranjeet Singh urged the parents and the teachers just to guide their children and allow them to take the final decision as they know very well their passion and strength. Instead of imposing their ideas on children, parents and teachers, before arriving at any conclusion, should listen to what their children say, he added.
The Collector assured the parents and the students of all possible help to avail educational loan so as to ensure their unhindered education.
