Introducing 24.09.26 i/trending MB&F goes bananas with the Caran d’Ache GorillaSharpener Tom Austin The Caran d’Ache x MB&F GorillaSharpener turns the familiar Swiss sharpening machine into a 150mm-tall, knuckle-walking desk companion. Designed by MB&F’s Maximilian Maertens, it combines zinc alloy, steel and chrome-plated components with some wonderfully unnecessary gorilla limbs. Limited to 300 pieces in Alpine Frost blue, it launches on World Gorilla Day for CHF 850 + VAT, with MB&F supporting the Dian Fossey Gorilla Fund. There are certain objects you encounter in this job that require a few minutes spent working out exactly how you’re supposed to write about them.
