The four teenagers had been travelling in a red Ford Falcon along Abrahams Crescent and Beaumaris Street, Conder, when they came upon a red Hyundai i30 hatchback.
The driver of the Hyundai followed the Ford along Tom Roberts Avenue to the intersection of Box Hill Avenue and Tharwa Drive and allegedly shot at the other vehicle, striking a passenger in the back seat.
