Canadians Conners, Taylor make International Team at Presidents Cup

Canadians Corey Conners and Nick Taylor have been selected by captain Geoff Ogilvy to join the International Team for the upcoming Presidents Cup. The team will compete against the American squad at Medinah later this month.

Canadians Corey Conners and Nick Taylor were selected to the International Team for the Presidents Cup later this month at Medinah. Neither Conners nor Taylor automatically qualified as one of the top six players, but were chosen by International Team captain Geoff Ogilvy Tuesday evening. Conners and Taylor join Si Woo Kim, Tom Kim, Min Woo Lee, Adam Scott, Ryan Fox and Hideki Matsuyama, who qualified automatically. Also making up the International squad are Nico Echavarria, Sungjae Im, Ryo Hisatsune and Christiaan Bezuidenhout. Taylor Pendrith of Richmond Hill, Ont., is serving as one of the alternate captains alongside Trevor Immelman and Camilo Villegas under Ogilvy. Brandt Snedeker is the captain of the American team and made Chris Gotterup his first of six captain’s picks Tuesday evening.
