Canadian gymnast Félix Dolci wins Commonwealth Games silver medal in all-around final

Canadian swimmer Josh Liendo successfully defended his 100-metre butterfly title at the Commonwealth Games in Glasgow. Additionally, Kylie Masse secured a silver medal in the 100-metre backstroke, marking her 10th career medal at the Games.
Why it matters
The Commonwealth Games serve as a major international sporting event that highlights the athletic prowess of Commonwealth nations and provides a platform for elite swimmers to compete at a high level.
Liendo successfully defended his men's 100-metre butterfly title before Black became the first person to win two individual all-around titles at the Games.
Liendo touched the wall in a meet record of 50.42 seconds, edging Australians Matthew Temple (50.43) and Ben Armbruster (50.58) at Glasgow's Tollcross International Swimming Centre.
"The strategy was more on the first day, managing the semis and the heats. I tried to take control of the race early [today], grit my teeth at the end and hit the wall," said Liendo. "I felt like I got a good start. That's what I wanted. From that point forward I just focused on building on that momentum and not overdoing the first 50, but I wanted to really nail it off that turn and finish strong."
