Canadian runner Marco Arop finished fourth in the men's 800m at the Diamond League meet in Lausanne, Switzerland. The race was won by Kenya's Emmanuel Wanyonyi, while other events saw notable performances from Letsile Tebogo and Kayla White.

Arop went out fast and led the field heading into the bell lap, but couldn’t maintain the pace over the final 400 metres, finishing fourth in 1:43.18.
Kenya’s Emmanuel Wanyonyi won in 1:42.19, followed by Algeria’s Djamel Sedjati, who posted a season-best 1:42.31. American Brandon Miller finished third in 1:42.55.
