NEW DELHI: Suitcases, backpacks and bulging bags are now a common sight in the narrow lanes of Satya Niketan. Two days after a building collapsed in the student neighbourhood, several young residents are packing up their rooms, calling parents and scouting for accommodation elsewhere, as anxiety over the safety of surrounding structures refuses to ease.On Tuesday, Shakib was among those helping a relative empty her room in a building adjacent to the one that collapsed. “She was in the building next door when the incident happened. We reached here within two hours of the incident and her hands were shaking. That is when we decided that she won’t able to live here anymore,” he said.
