Special camps will be held across the three Assembly constituencies in the Nilgiris to enrol first-time voters in the electoral rolls, the district administration has said.

The district administration said in a statement, “The Election Commission of India, vide its communication dated 29.09.2026, has directed that in States/UTs where the Special Intensive Revision (SIR) has already been completed, a special drive will be undertaken by the Chief Electoral Officer, District Election Officers and EROs for the enrolment of left out and young/first-time eligible electors under the process of continuous updation. Declaration Form attached with Form 6 will be used during SIR phase only. For non-SIR period, the Forms applicable as per the Registration of Electors Rules 1960 will be used.”
