Cam Roigard out of All Blacks squad for Sharks match

The All Blacks have withdrawn halfback Cam Roigard from their upcoming tour match against the Sharks due to a calf injury. The team is managing several player injuries and illnesses as they prepare for their upcoming test series.
Why it matters
Injury management is critical for the All Blacks as they navigate a demanding South African tour and prepare for high-stakes international test matches.
The All Blacks have scratched halfback Cam Roigard from the 23-man squad as a precaution for tomorrow morning’s tour match against the Sharks in Durban.
Roigard, who has started all three tests under Dave Rennie this season, was initially named on the bench with Kyle Preston to start. Cortez Ratima will now replace him in the reserves.
“Roigard has a tight calf so the decision has been made to allow some time for that to settle,” an All Blacks statement said.
It is the second straight game the All Blacks have had to make changes to the squad with Wallace Sititi withdrawing from the Stormers clash due to illness .
Rennie most likely had plans to play Roigard in the final quarter of tomorrow’s game to get some gametime ahead of the first test on August 23.
