Archbishop Filomeno do Nascimento Vieira Dias has urged Angola's political leaders to strengthen dialogue and cooperation, saying the National Assembly should bring together the country's diverse political and cultural perspectives in the service of national development and the common good.
Speaking to journalists on Friday, July 10, after an audience with the newly appointed President of Angola's National Assembly, Adão de Almeida, the Local Ordinary of the Catholic Archdiocese of Luanda said Parliament has a unique responsibility to unite the country's diverse voices in shaping its future.
“The National Assembly must be a space where different perspectives find the opportunity to build solutions for the benefit of citizens,” Archbishop Dias said.
